1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ArtVeda platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use ArtVeda. By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- ArtVeda reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. For Buyers
- All artworks listed are original works as described by the artist. ArtVeda facilitates the transaction but the artwork is sold by the artist.
- Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Once an order is placed and payment is confirmed, the order is binding. Cancellations are subject to the artist's and platform's cancellation policy.
- We offer a return policy for artworks that arrive damaged or are materially different from their listing description.
5. For Artists (Sellers)
- You must only list artworks that are your original creations and for which you hold full rights.
- You agree to accurately describe each artwork including dimensions, medium, and condition.
- ArtVeda charges a platform commission on each sale. The current commission structure is communicated during onboarding and may be updated with notice.
- Payouts are processed to your registered bank account after order delivery confirmation, subject to the payout schedule.
- You are responsible for packaging and handing over the artwork to the shipping partner in the agreed timeframe.
- If an artwork shipped is materially different from what was ordered by the customer, all shipping charges for sending and returning the artwork shall be borne by the artist.
- The artist is responsible for recording a packing video as proof that the artwork has been packaged properly and without any damage before dispatch.
- The artist must not include any materials other than the artwork in the package. If any additional items are found, the artist may be subject to a penalty and their access to the platform may be revoked.
6. Intellectual Property
Artists retain all intellectual property rights to their listed artworks. By listing on ArtVeda, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, promote, and market your artworks on the Platform and associated channels.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Listing counterfeit, plagiarised, or misleadingly described artworks.
- Circumventing the platform to complete transactions off-platform to avoid commissions.
- Using the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
- Interfering with the security or functionality of the Platform.
8. Payments & Refunds
Payments are securely processed by our payment gateway partner. Refunds, if applicable under our return policy, will be credited to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
9. Limitation of Liability
ArtVeda acts as a marketplace facilitator. We are not liable for the quality, authenticity, or condition of artworks beyond our verification processes. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant transaction.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from the use of ArtVeda shall be governed by the laws of India. You agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing formal legal action.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
